Maine isn’t just home to blueberries and lobsters. It also has thriving coral gardens just off the coast, which NOAA Fisheries shows off in this new video.

The corals were discovered in Maine in 2014. They are home to many marvelous fish, octopus, squid, and anemones.

Conservationists hope that by studying hidden coral reefs, like these or the recently discovered reef near the mouth of the Amazon, they can help preserve them for future generations.
