    Have 24 cameras handy? Too bad, because if you had 'em (along with a cabal of the East Coast's best graffiti artists and some flashlights), you could make a stab at the below. We've always liked Graffiti Research Lab, but after taking a peek at their winning Intructables entry (How to Enter the Ghetto Matrix (DIY Bullet Time)), we're downright smitten.

    Born to be Mild

    Engineers have tried and failed for decades to build motorcycles with automatic transmissions. Honda finally gets it right with the new DN-01 "sports cruiser" bike. Conventional automatic transmissions, like those in cars, lag when you hit the throttle and can throw a bike off balance during turns. Honda's HFT (for Human Friendly Transmission) responds to the throttle instantly by using hydraulic pumps instead of standard gears.

    For anybody who wants to ride an automatic motorcycle, just go buy a Honda Ruckus. I think this concept, despite it's "HFT" is also unsafe in theory. As a motorcycle rider, it's you against all the variable, even if you're perfect and someone else is not, you're screwed. So removing the rider from being engaged in shifting to me just seems ridiculous, as ridiculous as motorized trikes.

    Virgin Galactic Unveils New Designs

    This morning at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, in front of a throng of international press, paying customers, and various captains of future industries, Branson, Scaled Composites CEO Burt Rutan, and other Virgin Galactic execs unveiled new designs for both White Knight and SpaceShipTwo. Branson says the two-ship combo will act as a catalyst to transform human access to space.

    I'm digging the Vargas looking Galactic Girl. Still not sold on the immediacy of their vision happening considering that until they figure out what went wrong the first time, they could be doomed to repeat. Has it been said multiple times that Richard Branson is the current Howard Hughes with less hand washing? If it has, let me say it again.
